Custom Orders & Varieties of Loose Tea

Custom orders, mixes & blends are available upon request. Please call (847)419-1772 or simply email us using the form here. Our customer service team is ready and willing to assist you with any questions or concerns you might have; we don’t just sell tea, we know tea. In addition to the types of loose tea we carry in our online tea store, we have many other types & blends of tea available at our tea storage. Just because you can’t find it on our website, don’t assume we don’t have it; pick up the phone & give as a ring, or if you don’t feel like talking, email us or contact us through Facebook. Keep in mind that some of these might be a subject for a slight delay, but we are straightforward about our delivery times & availability, so you’ll be given a correct estimate when to expect your order to arrive before placing your order.

Shipping Time, Carriers, Tracking of Orders

All orders are shipped using USPS, unless otherwise requested. Our common handling time is one business day, so if you order today, expect your order shipped the next business day. Orders that are placed early during the day may ship the same day. Delivery time will vary depending on the carrier, as you probably already know, we have no control over this. After your order has been shipped you’ll be notified via email, tracking number will be included for US orders. Buyers from Canada will have to pay for Priority Mail if they want a tracking number included. Sorry, Canada, USPS won’t provide tracking for First Class mail.


Understanding Loose Tea Grading

Have you ever noticed some strange letters alongside with loose tea products? Have you ever wondered what those were?

When you buy tea online, a reasonable question is, why some tea is more expensive than others. How do you know which tea is more of a value & how to pick one for everyday regular use?

A few facts to know about tea grading system:

Black tea is graded primarily based on two factors: the size of the leaves and the method of tea production. You’ll often see SFTGFOP or similar grading by the product name. To best understand these read an in detail article here (understanding loose tea grading).

Green tea, oolong tea and white loose tea do not have an internationally accepted, standard grading system yet. The grading pattern for these teas varies from region to region.

Tea experts also grade the quality of tea through a sensory test. In such test the tea master grades tea according to its physical appearance, color, texture, and aroma based on his/her experience.

So, as you see in the subject is very broad. In order to best understand different tea qualities, it’s best to try a lot of different kinds of it from different regions around the world. Once you get to know them, you’ll sure be able to pick one that’s perfect for your body and your soul.
