It has a sturdy stainless steel body and a firm handle. It can withstand repeated everyday use without much wearing or rusting. I also found it very effective at measuring oddly shaped teas such as herbal teas or long leaved whole dried teas which are otherwise hard to measure. It is a useful little accessory and I can measure out my teas quick and easy with it.

I found it quite easy and convenient to measure and scoop out my loose tea leaves with this spoon. I could hold it well from its long firm handle. It did not give any metallic flavor to the tea. I also found it useful when brewing a large pot of tea where I needed to measure a large amount of tea.
